One evening, five countries, five completely different aromatic white grapes — Chenin Blanc, Riesling, Albariño, Pinot Gris and Viognier — poured generously, introduced by experts. A tasting built like a round-the-world exploration.

Most white wine tastings pick one grape and stay there. This one is built the opposite way — one country per glass, five countries in one evening.

The evening opens with a Champagne welcome from Maison Champagne Poirot.

Then you'll travel from Kleine Zalze's Chenin Blanc in South Africa to a Riesling from Schieferkopf in Alsace, a Spanish Albariño from CVNE, a Pinot Gris from New Zealand's Esk Valley, and a sophisticated Viognier from the esteemed French maison M. Chapoutier — five aromatic whites chosen specifically to show how differently a grape can express its origin. Hosted in the atmospheric cellar setting of Courtyard Wine Cellars, Covent Garden, with fine cheese, charcuterie and snacks alongside the tasting.
