This tasting exists to prove them only half right.Across generous pours — no thimble measures here — you'll travel from the flinty precision of Joseph Mellot in the Loire Valley, through the sun-warmed expressions of Chile's Errazuriz and New Zealand's Villa Maria, to South Africa's family-owned Kleine Zalze. Each bottle has been selected with our partner winemakers specifically to show how differently one grape can speak depending on where it's grown.

The evening is hosted at Courtyard Wine Cellars, a genuinely atmospheric underground space in the heart of Covent Garden, with fine cheese, charcuterie and snacks threaded through the tasting. It begins with a Champagne welcome and runs at an unhurried pace designed for conversation, not clock-watching.
